KĘPA MIESZCZAŃSKA. FROM NEEDS TO CULTURE.
New educational cycle

“Kępa Mieszczańska. From Needs to Culture” is an invitation to discover culture in the simplest possible way – up close, freely and without pressure. It is an initiative for adults who wish to get to know their surroundings better, meet their neighbours and try something new – even if, in everyday life, they struggle to find the time or the courage to do so.

Within the evolving space of Kępa Mieszczańska, we are creating a series of meetings and workshops that weave art into everyday life. While accompanying the exhibitions presented at 66P, they offer an opportunity to experience them in a more personal and relaxed way. The inspiration for the programme is the “garden of needs” – a metaphor proposed by Dominika Łabądź. It is a space where every need matters: a moment of rest, movement, a sense of security, or simply being noticed. Around these needs, we are building shared activities – light, open, and centred on experience.

The programme includes a neighbourhood gathering and six workshops taking place from spring to autumn – at 66P, Stajnia, and outdoors, directly within Kępa itself. Each meeting will be an opportunity to spend time together, talk, create something of our own, and engage with art without unnecessary distance. Participation in all events is free of charge.

The workshops draw on the universal needs described by Marshall Rosenberg – such as the need to be seen, to move, to be inspired, or to rest. Above all, however, this is a space for connection: with others and with oneself. No experience is required – only curiosity and a willingness to be part of this story.

REGISTRATION

We especially encourage people with diverse needs to take part. If you inform us in advance, we will do our best to adapt the events so they are comfortable and accessible for, among others, blind or deaf participants, or those requiring childcare support.
