66P Subjective Institution of Culture

Mission

The 66P (Six Six P) Subjective Institution of Culture is an independent contemporary art space whose shape is determined by the format of an artist’s studio – a place where the creative process is paramount.

We support new ideas, concepts and attitudes in progressive, environmentally-friendly and socially-responsible art. Our primary focus is on practices that explore alternative areas in art and life, respond to the changing realities while being sensitive to the margins, experiment and pose difficult questions.

At the heart of our programme are premiere exhibitions. We are committed to the artist’s vision and provide the tools to materialise their work and concepts. We value active and close collaboration, shortening the distance between art and the audience. We want to show the creative process and the role of art in the world around us, exploring its unarticulated possibilities and tasks.

The functioning of 66P is guided by our belief in the instrumental role of institutions in shaping artistic and social life. To this end, we are building a space that is relational, interdisciplinary and critical, that enables encounter, dialogue and confrontation; a place that champions sensitivity and citizenship.

We see 66P as a tool for communication, relationship building and the creation of social values through art. We want to show creativity that moves, because our reality is transformed by emotions. We believe in artists and their ideas.
