The Early Tomatoes exhibition was a summary of the open-air event that took place in the summer of 2020 in Bogna Kozera-Radomska’s studio and garden. In the village of Pierwoszowo near Wrocław, the group of artists met: Małgorzata ET BER Warlikowska, Grażyna Jaskierska-Albrzykowska, Małgorzata Kazimierczak, Anna Kowalska-Szewczyk, Bogna Kozera-Radomska, Renata Micherda-Jarodzka, Dorota Miłkowska, Anna Osadnik Osa, and Krystyna Szczepanik. The idea was to create a situation conducive to the exchange of experiences, thoughts and spending time together. A confrontation of various attitudes, artistic and psychological personalities of mature female artists with a broad and diverse approach to art (painters, sculptors, graphic artists, illustrators).
The surreal title of the exhibition referred to the summer, i.e. the season in which the crops and the fruits of your own labor are harvested. It can also be related to the stage of artistic creativity as well as life maturity in general. Another level of interpretation is the reference to the garden, the place where the whole process took place. The interviews conducted by the participants concerned issues such as the fact of marginalization of female artists, which are still overlooked and unnoticed in the art world. The formula of being together allowed them to reverberate, to create a much needed during the pandemic situation of creative security and liberation.
The exhibition immediately preceded the initiative of establishing 66P.
